Parquet Signature Design Call made from Hard Maple for lid with Macassar Ebony inlay in Lid. Bottom is laminated maple and mahogany. Sound chamber is Honduras Mahogany From South America with end blocks of maple and Macassar Ebony.
This is one of my favorite checker patterns the signature design. On average I feel this checker pattern called signature design or double check pattern is the easiest to tune and consistently provides the truest sound of the hen turkey. The double check consists of two rows of ½” checkering or 20 squares.
Basic woods used are Honduras Mahogany, Black Walnut, Cypress, Yellow Poplar, Red Cedar, and Butternut.
